How much bank balance an Indian student should show before joining for MS?

Ideally, bank balance equal to one year's total cost of attendance would be enough. Cost of attendance = tuition fees + room boarding charges, living expenses/pocket money + books etc. Roughly that should be equal to $40-60,000 if you've not received any scholarship.
