International students seeking a German student visa must have a minimum bank balance worth: EUR 11,900 (INR 11.96 L) for their first year of studies. The German government wants to make sure that all students who apply for a study visa in Germany have ample financial resources to fund their studies in the country without any issues.
Moreover, students are also required to pay an application fee worth EUR 75 (INR 7.5 K) to submit their student visa application.
