if you have extra knowledge then you'll have a clear edge over others...learn others courses during your vacations and also have extra curriculars...participate in competitions like tech fests ...you'll out smart people and you'll get much higher salary...on an avg. you can earn more than 20k if you

It depends on your skills how much you want to earn, well easily people are earning around 50,000 per month.

It Depends upon college From Where you are Doing B.Tech . the Average package in almost all branches are around 2.5 - 3.75 lakhs per annum and in IITs , NITs and in IIITs the Average package would be Around 4.0-6.75 lakhs per annum .
