IIM Calcutta asks for the CAT percentile which should be around 98.5+ to get a call for the interview. You should target to get above 98 percentile to get a call for GD and interview. If there are further queries, you can always ask.

A safe score of 98+ percentile would have to be good for you to get a call from IIM-C. To then convert the call, you will have to be very much updated with the world around you now. So, I would suggest you to aim for at least a 99 percentile.

Your CAT score has to be more than 98 percentile to get a call for PI. Your final selection would depend on your academics + CAT score+ performance at PI.

The shortlisting criteria for interviews of IIM-C is based on CAT score, class 10th, class 12th and graduation scores and work experience. In case of IIM Calcutta, the weightage for past academic performance and work experience is high, so you do have good chance if you score well in CAT exam. Hello,
The admission criteria depend on several factors such as the stream, gender, category. For a general male engineer, the cut-off is near 98.97. As far as I've heard, IIM-Bangalore prefer a candidate with work experience.

Cutoff score varies every year. But a minimum of 98 percentile is required for IIM, Calcutta. Minimum score required for graduation is 50%. But admissions are provided on the basis of CAT score and Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

It does not matter whether you score 99% marks in class 10th and +2,( only 50% marks(General) 45% marks (SC/ST) needed for admission in IIMC that too during graduation only) CAT exam also have nothing to do with admission in IIMC. Prepare for IIMC written entrance exam (forms in March, test in May) if you clear written exam you will be invited for PI&GD on the basis of that final list will be declared.

For IIM-Calcutta with no experience, you anyhow have to score 98 percentile. Less than that will only take you to the interview but not the selection. You have a good percentage in class 10th and 12th. Since you don't have any work experience, try for some certification courses, training, and workshops, they can help you a lot.

With a 300 SC category rank in CAT, your chances for NIT Trichy MBA are relatively high. Based on 2025 data, NIT Trichy generally shortlists SC candidates with CAT percentiles around 60-65. To achieve a 300 rank under SC category, you would need about a 65-70 percentile, or a score of roughly 60-65 marks out of 198 in CAT 2025, depending on difficulty and normalization process. Final selection is also based on interview, academics, and work experience. Yes, you are fairly within touch, but I would encourage you to have a solid overall profile as well to increase your chances of admission.
