How much do I need to score in CAT to get admission for PGDM?

    For IIM-A, it should be > 99.5 percentile for general category. So one should aim for 100 percentile.

    There is no direct answer to this question. However, assuming that you want to join established IIMs, there are around 2400-2500 seats for all the IIMs combined. Also assuming that around 2.5 lakh students appear for CAT. You would stand a chance to figure in top 2500 students only if you score more than 99 percentile. This has also been empirically observed. Typical cutoff for IIMA, IIMB and IIMC goes as high as 99.25 percentile to 99.5 percentile. For IIML, IIMI and IIMK, cutoff usually is 98.5 percentile to 99 percentile. Hence I would suggest that you prepare well and give your best shot at CAT.
