8 years agoAs per the current year's analysis you should have at least 220 marks in JEE Mains and around 5000 rank to get admission in mechanical branch in NIT, Trichy. -

The admission is based on the ranks In JEE main exam. You also have certain cutoff marks based on caste which varies every year.
For general category, you need to have at least 300 and above to get a seat at NIT,Trichy and for other categories it is better to have 250 and above. -

8 years agoIt depends on whether you are from home state or other state and also based on your category. I think the score needed to get into mechanical will be 210 and above. -

In fact, NIT Trichy is one of the best NITs, as far as the admission is concerned a min mark of 250+ is required for electronics, unless you belong to some reserved categories. You can check your eligibility on Shiksha's JEE Main rank predictor.

If you could score anywhere around 250, your chances of getting into mechanical engineering, NIT, Tiruchirappalli are pretty high. However, I'd advise you to not settle down on the fixed score of 250. Always try improving on the areas you're weak and strengthen the topics you're good at. Fix a target more around 280-300 and start working towards it now that you have time.
