Every year cutoff changes(both sectional and overall) for admission in XLRI. My experience says that atleast 97 percentile is required for final admission in XLRI. But, it is subject to change according to the admission criteria of the college in a particular year.

For admission to XLRI 2017-2018 batch you need to appear for XAT 2017
going by the cut-offs for XAT-2016
You need sectional percentile to be more or less above 70 .
However overall percentile for HRM was 94 and BM was 96 (approx)
This is not possible unless you do really well in atleast two of the three sections
    Hope this answers your question
