As a former student at Chandigarh University, I can provide insights into hostel costs for international students. The prices depend on factors like room type and whether you want AC or non-AC. For male students, 5-seater non-AC rooms aren't available, but 5-seater AC rooms cost around 144,900 INR per year. If you prefer more privacy, 4-seater rooms are an option. When my brother studied B.Tech at Chandigarh University, his experience was great. The overall cost, including hostel and mess, depended on his room choice and course. He went for a 3-seater non-AC room and B.Tech (Hons.) in 4 years, costing around Rs. 13,20,000. This included a semester fee of Rs. 1,00,000, hostel fee of Rs. 96,000 (with wifi and mess), a one-time uniform fee of Rs. 2,500, a refundable security deposit of Rs. 1,500, and an exam fee of Rs. 1,500 per semester. Remember, these are rough estimates; the actual cost varies based on individual circumstances and financial aid.
