How much important is academic score to get into top MBA colleges. I have 60% through out.

X-68.62 ; XII-61.28; B.Tech-73.9(2014 passout) currently working with ACCENTURE.I want to pursue MBA with 2-3yrs of experience. Can you pls guide me with some fruitful advice as I hv heard that it is extreme important to hv excellent academic career to get into top B-schools. Thanks.

DEAR aNAND, Some colleges like IIMs , MDI ,ISB do give importance to 10 th and 12 th marks and also graduation marks. But this is not case with many other MBA colleges such as FMS, XLRI. Loyola College. So, the importance given varies from college to college. General eligibility criteria for MBA

As such for being eligible you need more than 50% marks generally everywhere. So that is that. But in the competitive exams you need to score as high percentile as possible to get into an institute of higher repute.

Dear Anand, Most of the good b-schools require atleast 50% in graduation and you should have appeared for entrance exams like: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT etc. Good Luck.

Hii Anand, As u hv scored 60% in ur academics u can easily go for MBA/PGDM. all u need to do is perform well in the entrance exam to meet the eligibility criteria of the b schools. I can suggest u to go for JIMS, Rohini as it is a best b school. thy require minimu 50% in the academics.
