+2 board and JEE Mains are both considered for rank to get in the NITs. 40% board and 60% of JEE Mains marks are calculated.

As much high as you can, because in boards, you can easily achieve above 90% but to get good marks in Mains, it is somewhat tough. So, You must try to get above 95%.
