Take a Mock a week from the month of May. And analyse it within the week, irrespective of the Time it takes. Practice each topic in quants from January and start solving topic tests based on them. It depends on you. If you want then you can take one year of time for the preparation and if you think it's not necessary to take one year's gap then start preparing now and practice daily.
