1. You need to score above 180 marks in JEE Mains. 2. You need to score above 160 marks in JEE Advanced.

The minimum marks you need would certainly depend on the NIT you desire. For other than home state NIT's you will need higher rank. Also, it will depend on the engineering discipline you prefer. Minimum of 180+ for JEE Mains and 160+ marks for advanced are required.

For NIT, you must be under 30k rank in general category and for IIT you need below 10k rank in general category.

Admissions in IITs/ NITs/ IIITs and other CFTIs at least 75% marks in class 12th, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th class exam conducted by the respective board, to qualify for admissions. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% marks.
