Yes, a good CGPA is required to get good placements. If you have reappears of backlogs then they will not let you sit in placement drive actually they required 6.50 CGPA. And maintaining a good CGPA is a sign of a good student. Apart from this LPU do a lot of hard work to get their student placed. They give students PEP classes. In which students can enhance their communication skills and interpersonal skills which is most important in terms of interview points of view.

Well, there are a couple of companies that demand high CGPA but most of the companies don't stress that. They see how a person presents oneself and conducts oneself in an interview. For campus placement at LPU, one has to register oneself for placements. You pay a fee of Rs 10000. Once the university enrolls in the placements, you have to attend PEP, (professional enhancement programme) classes. The classes are aimed at improving the student's soft skills, communication skills, cognitive skills, verbal ability, and analytical ability. Every student is given a couple of chances. LPU is conferred with National Employability Award 2020 by...more

The majority of employers prefer CGPA between 6 to 6.5. You can apply to 7075% of the companies if you have a minimum CGPA. Some businesses, however, prefer it to be about 8.5. It is merely a cutoff set by businesses to screen applicants. You will qualify for 100% of the firms if your GPA is higher than 8.5. A 7 CGPA with talents is more preferable to a 9 CGPA with no skills. Businesses are not seeking bookworms. They are looking for competent people. Do your best because your parents and other family members will just look at your CGPA and not your skills. Yes, if you are good enough, keeping a 7-8 CGPA in LPU won't be a problem for y...more

Hi Sameeksha, you seem to be all geared up for your placement. Its good to prepare well in advance or atleast make a strategy for it. Now lets come to your question, well, there are couple of companies that demand high CGPA, say 8 or 6 but many companies don't stress on that. They SEE how a person presents oneself, conduct oneself in a interview. For campus placement at LPU, one has to register oneself for placements. You pay a fee of Rs 10000. The requirement of CGPA for placement depends on the particular company visiting for the placement. As per my experience, most of the companies ask for a minimum of 6 CGPA to get eligible for placement. LPU is better in terms of placements. Every year more than 1000 companies visit LPU every year. Year-on-year LPU has been setting new records with regard to students placements. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services (team of about 40 persons), Centre for Professional Enhancement and faculty/staff from parent Schools.

If you want to score good CGPA in any programme, be regular in your class, don't miss the lectures because if you maintain more then 90% attendance, you will get marks. Now marks of all four section will be added and it will decide your final TGPA of semester. Your total marks will added and final grade is depends upon the performance of other students in that subject. If the highest score in that subject is low then your grade will be high even if your marks is less and vice-versa. Believe me guys, Once you get shortlisted to sit in a company, CGPA does not matter at all. But, concentrate more on the word SHORTLISTED. If you are not s...more

Shortlisting criteria for placement always differ from company to company. It's purely depends upon the requisite Job profile or domain of that particular company. As per my knowledge, companies always keep shortlisting criteria nominal instead bare minimum. During my study in LPU, I got the opportunity to work very closely as Student Placement Coordinator in placement cell of LPU. As per my understanding before talking about final placement one should consider about steps of getting shortlisted in campus placement drive where CGPA plays an important role. As per my experience, CGPA kept as nominal by most of the companies as shortlist...more
