    Admission to IIT Kharagpur is solelt determined by entrance. Numerous national-level entrance tests, includeing GATE, JEE Main, and JEE Advance, are used to selecte students. A applicant must have at least 75% in class 12 and a relevant JEE score in order to be considered for admission to IIT Kharagpur's undergraduate prograsm. Candidates must possess a BE/BTech/BArch degree or a master's in Science or arts with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in order to be eligible for IIT Kharagpur's joint MTech/ MCP PhD program. Exam results from reputable professional socities are also acknowledged as qualifications.

    The minimum percentage required for admission to IIT Kharagpur is different for different courses. However, IIT Kharagpur admission is completely entrance-based.
