The percentile required for admission to BIT Sindri is mostly determined by the branch you are interested in and the level of competition in that year. Popular areas such as Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering have higher closing percentiles, generally around the 90th percentile

Candidates applying for any of the BIT Sindri courses have to fulfill the set eligibility criteria. The eligibility requirement will mention the required qualification and aggregate. Below is BIT Sindri course-wise eligibility:

Course	Common Eligibility
BTech	Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects as well as Chemistry or Biology as optional subjects with at least 45% aggregate
MTech	BE/ BTech or equivalent in respective discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (55% aggregate for SC/ ST)
PhD	ME/ M.Tech or equivalent degree in respective discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent (55% aggregate for SC/ ST)
