Well, if you've heard for reliable sources like The Hindu or the Economic Times it is true. The salary at the top 3 IIMs are very high.

Salary after MBA depends on the ranking of MBA colleges and candidate's profile. It can vary between Rs. 4 Lakh per annum to Rs.15 Lakh per annum for a fresher. Top end salaries are for IIT-IIM graduates. Lower end salaries are for tier 3 and below college students.
