percentage in 12 does not matter much for engg. u hv 2 score 60% overall and 50% in pcm. concentrate on the entranxce exam as that will fetch u admission in the college of your choice.4 mechanical engineering ur rank should be in top 500 atleast. best wishes.

Sourav, Doing Engg is not the only target you have. Gettin a good job after is the main motive we have. So, you should score above 60% in PCM in 12th, bcoz after engg, whenever you will go for any reputed organisation, they will always calculate your PCM marks which needs to be atleast 60% and then

% has not much importance now. for engg you must have 50% in pcm group, thats it. and a good score in engg entrance exam will make you through to a good college
