Hi,
If you have a score of 85 per cent in one of your exams, but your score is higher than 95 per cent of all students, then your percentile score will 96, as you have achieved better performance than 96 per cent of all students. TANCET Score and percentile score are different but they are both important. The cutoff is the minimum score that a candidate needs to secure in the exam for admission by participating institutes. TANCET cut off for top universities/colleges/institutes is expected to be between 35 and 70 for general category candidates. -
According to the previous year's trends, you need to score above the 90 percentile to get into top colleges. According to the seat allotment rank and scores, here is the list of colleges with their required scores:
1. PSG College of Technology: 94.95
2. University of Madras, Chennai: 95.76
3. Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai: 95.76
4. Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering: 96.87
