Branch does not matter as far as salary in PSUs are concerned. Starting salary according to VIth pay commission for officer grade in PSU will be around Rs. 45,000/- per month, consolidated. Beside the pay, free medical, LTC, residence in campus etc are additional.

Depends on the firm, location, your competence and the job responsibilites, but as a starter nothing less than 25K on an average at a trainee level.
