How much time does it take to prepare for the UPPCS exam?

You need a minimum of 1.5 Years in general cases exception are always there. We need an in-depth study so the time is required to prepare.

For PCS exam preparation, You need one complete year for the preparation of prelims and Mains. PCS Preliminary Exam Format:
1- A number of papers in PCS Prelims: There will be 2 Compulsory Papers in the exam, that too in 2 shifts.
2- Marks in PCS Prelims: Both papers will be 200-200 marks. Those whose time will be 2-2 hours.
3- A number of PCS Prelims-Exam Questions: 100-150 questions can be asked in these papers of Objective Type.
4- Qualifying Marks: The second paper will be on the CSAT pattern. Which will have 33 percent, Qualifying Marks.

a year agoIt totally depends on what time you start preparing for it. I have seen many students that they start preparations from 2nd or 3rd year of college & also sees many students starts preparing after completing tier undergraduate. But on a average of you SEE it will require around 1-1.5 years to prepare for UPSC.
