You should try and start as early as possible, that is at least 6 months before the exam date so that you have enough time for a thorough revision of the exam syllabus, which will increase your chances of getting excellent marks in the entrance test and getting a seat at a popular Food Technology college in India.
The exam syllabus in usually available on the official exam websites or the website of the exam conducting body at least 8 to 10 months before the exam actually takes place so that all the students can start their preparation as early as possible.
