How much time one should study in order to get more than 80%tile in CAT or XAT in 3 months' preparation?

You need to study only 4 hours daily and try to assess your strength and weakness in the course of study. You need a good coaching, where you can get good teacher, which can meet your needs.

Hi, It is impossible for one to score such marks within 3 months by self and it is not enough at all particularly for CAT or XAT. You need minimum 1 year, if you have craze to get into top IIMs or other top most institutes. You can score good in MAT.

Yes you can. But note that it is still unsure about the methodology taken in IIM CAT valuation because there are students who have answered less but scored good percentile in CAT ,in some cases having less errors etc. Studies are not enough you have to be very vigilant in attending CAT. IIM Calcutta has only mentioned accepting GMAT score for admission into EMBA courses.

However, CAT is commonly accepted by other similar institutes for both MBA and MBAEx courses. Thus, candidates are advised to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.
