Usually, classes are scheduled for every public holiday and Sundays and it's up to you whether you want to attend them or not. Except that, you just have to go for exams. But sometimes, in some Universities case is different. For example in Annamalai University, you have to go and live in their campus for 1 month for month if you are doing psychology hons from distant learning. Usually these details are mentioned on the official websites.
