    After checking their placement rate, I can say that almost everyone got placed in a good MNC. So, it's good for you to take admission. You can consider to consult this with alumni and current students of IEM. Placement rate is 100% according to their website. So, you should consider taking admission into this college. Although getting placed depends on the potential of the candidate.

    The placement scenario at the Institute of Engineering and Management-Kolkata, for BCA courses is very good. If you are consistent and work hard through out the year, you will definitely get placement in top IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. These companies visit the campus for recruitment with packages ranging from 3.6 to 8 LPA.     IEM is widely known for its great placements. The BCA department is also not an exception. I am giving you the statistics of 2017 pass-out batch. There was 100% placement with all 92 students eligible for placement getting at least 1 job.
    26 students got 2 Job Offers
    16 students got 3 Job Offers
    13 students got 4 Job Offers
    4 students got 5 Job Offers
    4 students got 6 Job Offers.

    Capgemini have recruited the highest number of BCA students from IEM in West Bengal. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), Deloitte, Infosys has recruited the highest number of BCA students from IEM in West Bengal.
