How should I go about selecting a B-School?

Selecting the dream B-school can be an arduous task in itself if not done diligently. There are various factors one must always consider while deciding which B-school is ideal fro him/her. The major factors are as follows:- 1. Brand name: It matters a lot, during the short term as well as long term. The fact of being associated with a prestigious institute will always command respect from those around you. 2. Location: A B-school's location is something people generally tend to neglect. If it is located in close proximity of an industrial sector or a financial hub, it becomes beneficial in getting more industry exposure and knowing about the nuances of the corporate world closely. Also it becomes more convenient for the companies to visit an institute for recruiting. 3. ROI: Whether for short-term or long-term, it must be definitely considered. After all, when you are investing a huge sum of hard-earned money, you do expect great or at least decent returns for the same. 4. Infrastructure: A B-school comprising of all the essential amenities like a library, computer lab, cafeteria, gym, etc ensures students can make the most of their MBA journey by spending quality time in both studying and in recreation. 5. Placements: Undoubtedly, for many if not for all, this is the sole parameter in deciding a B-school. An institute offering at least decent placements will always attract not only many students but also garner the trust of future aspirants and recruiting companies too. I hope it helps!

B-schools can be selected on various parameters. The parameters choice depends upon you. One of the parameter is whether you want to do PGDM or MBA degree. IIMs offer PGDM but colleges linked to universities MBA degree. Second parameter is which specialization you are looking for while doing management programs one is finance, marketing, operations, HR, supply chain, etc. Third parameter depends upon your CAT score so high percentile students get best colleges. Fourth parameter can be return on investment that is, how much fees we have to submit for the course and what is the average package offered in that B-school. The other factors are college infrastructure, facilities, entrepreneurship cells, festivals, etc. which make the college life exciting. Other is the placement stats, how many students are placed and out of them what’s the highest and lowest package. Thus you can make your choices on above considerations

It is very important to select best business school for your BBA, MBA, PGDM etc. Nowadays, a large number of students are choosing Business management studies for their career development. But a lot of them are not able to find a right job after their education. One of the reason for this is the quality of education provided by each campus. Some of the criteria to evaluate while choosing a campus are as follows: 1. AICTE CERTIFIED-The campus should be AICTE Affiliated. 2. NAAC- NAAC A+ AND A GRADE campus are best for education. 3. Placement- Each and every year, the placement data and figures changes, so asking current students studying over there will help you. 4. Faculties- Check whether all the faculties are experienced and qualified with Ph.D. 5. Infrastructure- Check for LAB, LIBRARY, ONLINE BOOKS, CLASSROOMS facilities ETC. All these should be analyzed before choosing a B-school campus.
