    Hi Swaraj,
    The Common Proficiency Test is an entry level test i.e. the first level at which a student starts pursuing their Chartered Accountancy qualification.
    It is a test of four subjects— Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.

    The basic preparation for the CA examination can be done by referring to tge Study material issued by the ICAI. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India provides every resource necessary for preparation of your CA examination at every level. Recently, the free Virtual Coaching classes started by it have proved to be huge success. It is advised to refer and study through the medium of ICAI and prepare and test yourself accordingly.
