How should I prepare for CAT 2017?
I have scored 84% in SSC, 65% in HSC and 65% in BE. I have 1.5 years of work experience.

Basically, there are 3 sections in CAT exam - verbal ability, DILR, Quants.
Verbal ability-
Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do proper analysis of articles on editorial page. Try to make summary of articles that you read para by para. However, reading newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.
DILR-
This is one of the toughest section especially from previous 2-3 years. Not only it is tough but it also checks how quick your senses are and how good you are in selecting the sets. Therefore, the best thing to sco...more -
I am assuming you have just started the preparation.
1.Check out the question pattern for this year and prepare for the similar type of questions. I would recommend you to focus on the VA part as most people prepare little for it. Since there are around 4 months left, you won't have much time to practice so do keep that in mind.
2.There is a sectional cut off so a high overall percentile with a low percentile in one section would take you nowhere.
