How should I prepare for GATE?

Do the groundwork. Always read standard textbooks once during your B.Tech or after your B.Tech, before writing GATE. Prepare good quality notes. Revision is the key. Use previous years' GATE questions as practice materials. Attempt 'lots' of mock tests.

Join a coaching Institute. Although some people have cleared GATE without coaching, but they were only few. GATE is probably the toughest engineering exam in India. So, a coaching centers help will make preparations easier.

Solve last year question paper of GATE exam and also join a good coaching institute (for GATE exam preparation).

Hi Sangineni, Very interesting question. 1st of all, you are engineering pursuing or passed out. If you have 3rd year students or final year students, then store all 3-4 years question patterns and watch which section ask more no of questions 2nd thing you which section is good or bad. Dear Sangineni, Read about GATE syllabus, cut-offs on Google. If you feel fit for GATE then join an excellent coaching institute and make notes daily and also keep practising problems on the daily basis. Go ahead. Good luck.
