How should I prepare for M.Com exam in DU to ensure admissions in preferred college?

Admission in M.com in Delhi University is done through two modes: Direct admission on the basis of percentage secured in graduation Through Entrance Test Entrance test of the M.com is divided into 4 categories: Economics Accounting Business mathematics and statistics Management, Law and income tax If you want to secure decent score then go through last year’s question papers which are available at the photocopy shop in Delhi School of Economics. Spend your time in evaluating from which portions questions are being asked. Once you have done that then revise from your books.

Dear Student, For any entrance exam or competitive exam preparation, you should first gather the previous question papers as many as possible and if syllabus is similar, then my advice is to prepare all the important and repetitive questions and answers, once you are confident with your subjects then try to appear as many as mock tests. For DU, you can get into M.Com in two ways. University considers the percentage of marks in your graduation, please be informed about the eligible percentage criteria, it may change year to year. It will be different for general and reservation categories. So, if you are upto/ more than the % given by DU, then you can be selected to study M.Com directly without any test. This is a direct method. Other method is that if your merit in graduation is not upto the mark then you need to appear for entrance exam. This is divided into 5 parts and it is for 3 hours. Each part consists of 40 marks so the test is for total 200. Accounts, economics, business organization and management, business mathematics, current affairs and general knowledge are the subjects. My suggestion is to focus more and more on mathematics, others are very much relevant to graduation syllabus so I assume they are fine with you. General knowledge and current affairs are common. Follow news regularly and check out the previous question papers to find out that what kind of questions from GK they are asking and focus more on that. By focusing more on unfamiliar subjects and continuing to have grip on familiar subjects is the key to crack any entrance exam. All the best.
