Hi,
There are lots of things like economic, social, cultural, etc. Therefore, follow magazines and newspapers regularly and note all those things related to social causes. For basic information like economics, you can follow Dutt and Sundaram's Indian Economic Environment.

You should go through the books of MA rural development of IGNOU which provides ample information about social concern, equally, books on related syllabus of IGNOU MSW course. Apart from that, you should regularly read Economic Times and other newspaper, planning commission reports (now Niti Aayog), etc.
