Admission to IMU is usually based on the IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET), followed by counseling.
It's syllabus covered these areas-
General knowledge (current affairs, major world events, current maritime industry knowledge )
English (Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and sentence structure)
Maths (Basic maths (up to Class 10 level), percentages, ratios, profit and loss, and data interpretation)
