How should one go about preparing for the CAT exam
why is it said that only students from engineering background generally make it to the iim\'s? Isn\'t it unfiar for students from other background? Anybody who works hard can go into iim\'s, be it a student from any background. isn\'t?

They opt for Management studies because of the placements they get from the institute... I think the eligibility criteria should be changed... students from management background (BBA ,BBM,BHM) who possess the basic foundation of management so be given more importance....

This is totally a myth that only students from Engineering Background can get into IIMs & I completely agree with you that student from any background can get to IIMs provided he has the qualities IIMs are looking for i.e. strong academic background, good interpersonal and communication skills,

Though there is no formulae to do engineering for getting entry to IIM, but the fact remains that while doing engineering a student gets to improve his/her analytical and mathematical ability much faster than the students of other streams.
