How should one go about preparing for the UPSC exams

right now i m in b.e. last year and want to start prep. for UPSC how do i start to study i m planning to give exam in 2012 by full perp. from now. please guide me.

first of all select your subjects becoz in it two subjects r optional subjects in which u will have to be the master u will have to be very good at g k current affairs and reasoning . it will take time but you will have to be devotional to crack it becoz in it graduate level questions r asked

Hi Shrikant, Post the completion of the graduation you are eligible for the UPSC exams, the exams are divided in two phases - Prelims and the Main. You need to take a single subject with Preliminary exam which suits you the best and General Knowledge with update knowledge.Once you have passed with this exam you must write the main exam with the subject you have chosen in the preli
