<p>Lovely Professional University makes provision for candid but strict eligibility criteria for B.Sc (Hons with Research) in Biotechnology that form a barrier against candidates without a sound Science background. Candidates would have completed 10 + 2 with at least 60 percent aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology. The English requirement may be minimized if the course of study is in English medium. Admission is primarily merit-based, no entrance examination, and a provision of a few percentage points relaxation up to 5% for reserved categories such as North East states, Defence personnel, Kashmiri migrants. It is direct admission given to high performers in the board exams. The university, though, would be doing a verification of the academic records so that its standards in programs are maintained.</p>
