Banaras Hindu University is strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of B.Ed. in Social Science and Humanities. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce with at least 50% marks in either of the degrees, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent.
