The college is moderately strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at K M E A Engineering College, Edathala. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) are eligible for Management seats admission. However, the college follows the guidelines issued by the Government of Kerala and other statutory bodies such as APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and AICTE. The admission policy and procedure are decided from time to time by following these guidelines.
