    The college is moderately strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of M.Sc. in Biotechnology at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. The eligibility criteria include a BSc in Biological sciences with Chemistry up to SYBSc level or BSc in Chemistry with Biology courses up to SYBSc level. The selection criteria are based on the merit list derived using the score obtained in the entrance examination (70% weightage) and the qualifying BSc examination percentage (30% weightage).
