CU does not compromise when it comes to eligibility for M.Sc. in Data Science. The criteria are very clear: a bachelor's degree with Math, Statistics, or Computer Science as one of the subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate. Eligible streams include B.A., B.Sc., BCA, B.Com (Statistics), Commerce with Mathematics, and B.E./B.Tech. If you don't fit into this category, you simply cannot enroll. Chandigarh University is quite strict when it comes to eligibility requirements for M.Sc. in Data Science. The official rule clearly states that candidates must have a bachelor's degree such as B.A., B.Sc., BCA, B.Com (Statistics), Commerce with Mathematics, or technical degrees like B.E./B.Tech, with at least 50% aggregate marks. Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.
