CUSAT is strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Technology. The candidate should have a graduate degree in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries or a graduate degree in Engineering (Civil/ Public Health/ Environmental) with 55% marks. They should also have a valid rank in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the University. For biological sciences, the candidate should have a graduate degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Science/Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology with 55% marks and a valid rank in the CAT.
