    A degree program, BCA Bachelor of computer application is a three year program to train students in the field of information technology and software development.
    The admission are offered by various institutes/colleges across the country which include both private and government institutes.
    The admission process is pretty much the same however the eligibility and criteria do differ, as it would always be an advantage to get admission in a government institutes as the fee would be less and the recognition will be better than a lot of private sector colleges.

    BCA is a job oriented degree course and you can go for job immediately after BCA in Small and Medium size IT companies. The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course is 10+2 from a recognised board of education or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination. Some colleges such as government universities such as IGNOU allow non-maths students to seek admission in BCA.

    In an academic context BCA is undergraduate degree programs that prepare students to meet the computer technology needs of business, government, healthcare, schools, and other kinds of organizations.

    You need not to be confused while applying to government colleges for BCA. The procedure is almost the same in every government and private university. What differs is the eligibility criteria and exam pattern.

    For admission to BCA course, a student must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria as mentioned above. Admission to regular BCA course is generally done through a common entrance test conducted by respective universities. CETs are a few entrance tests conducted by some top institutes for providing admission to the course.

    Eligibility for joining BCA Course
    For getting admission to the BCA course in different government colleges all over the country, the basic eligibility is that the students must have completed their higher secondary examination in any stream of education.
