Freshman students can apply to GMU via Common Application / Mason’s Exclusive online application. Whereas, graduate students of GMU have to apply via accessing the online application. The documents required to apply to GMU are:

- Official results of any leaving certificate or university entrance exams
- English language proficiency score
- Copy of passport identification page
- A Certificate of Financial Responsibility
