MSc Nursing admission is based on performance in entrance exams such as the AIIMS MSc Nursing Exam and the INI CET. The majority of these tests are administered by the institute or university and are followed by subsequent rounds such as GD and PI. Some universities are considering a merit-based MSc Nursing admissions process.

Candidates who have passed their Class 12 board exams from a recognised board are eligible to apply for MSc Nursing. Candidates who have completed their Undergraduate degrees with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from an accredited university.
