how to apply for private 12th in science from maharashtra state board what is the procedure?pls reply very urgent!!

i have done my 11th from science stream from mumbai from maharashtra board. i have fallen seriously ill in my 12th and hence want to drop this year and repeat it next year as a private student from maharashtra board itself.is this possible?what is the procedure and how will the practicals be held?
