How to be a research scientist in physics?

After class 12th, clear JEE Mains exam with at least AIR 1000 or class 12th (if CBSE) with more than 90% in PCM then you will able to take IISER entrance exam. If you clear this exam, you will get direct admission to one of the IISER's college for the integrated programme of BS and MS of 5 years and you will become a research scientist.

To make a career in the research field, you need an honours degree. Usually, a 2:1 or above, in a related subject. Relevant subject areas include physical, mathematical and applied sciences, urban and land studies, and engineering. In particular, the following subjects are helpful:
astrophysics/physics.
