Hi anita.... Its really amazing that you want to becum IAS... IAS needs quite hard work.... you should be graduate for it.you have to be more stronger in subject as well as in general knowledge. to become IAS officer first you have to appear in a written examination conducted by UPSC. the syllabus of the examination mainly general knowledge and questions comes from various subject. to do well in this examination you must be stronger in the following subject History Geography Economics Political science Mathematics General knowledge etc. after written examination you have to appear in interview.about 4 to 5 people will there to take ur interview then if you are selected you will be IAS officer after 11 months training... so good choice..and all the best....

eligibility for ias is u should be a graduate and of 21 yrs.Firstly u have to give prelims exam,it consist of general studies+csat.if u qualify it u have to give mains.in mains there will be 2 papers of general studies,2 subjects u have to choice which will have 2-2 papers each.1 essay writing paper
