Hi Sushant!
To become a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), you need to take the State Police service exam. These are taken at the state level by respective State Public Service Commissions. The candidates who clear the State PSC exam are made DSP. DSP officers generally become SP of police in around 8-10 years. A candidate starting as a DSP can expect to rise to a level of Inspector General Police in a state.
