Depends for what kind of subjects u want to lecture. a minimum of post graduate in the particular field plus some job experience also required.
the course offers.various subjects apart from designing.
so someone from fine arts, Mba, Interior designing also can join. for institutes like nift. they also offer courses like mfm and bf.tech. so there are various subjects apart from the designing aspects. where differents experts are required like merchandisers etc

Every college has there own criteria to choose a lecturer, so apart from the educational qualifications or the minimum requirement, we can not generalize , what all it takes to be a professor . Some colleges may require 5 years of work experience or some might require 10 years .

Your grades should be good at the undergraduate and the maters level and apart from that, listed below are some points that you need to consider :
    Excellent drawing skills
Knowledge of computer software used for designing
    Eye for detailing
    Creative bent of mind

    Hi All,
A graphic design lecturer usually teaches in a college or other academic setting. This means that a master's degree in design, good speaking skills and some professional experience are often required to fill such a role. While a college setting is most common, it also is possible to start your own business teaching design and become a lecturer that way.
