    A Patwari is responsible for
    - maintaining land ownership records
    - update of land ownership records
    - maintaining crop record grown at every harvest
    - preparing statistical returns of information received from harvest inspection, land ownership record and other village records.
    Skills required for a patwari
    - should be well versed with documentation and procedures related to land ownership and records.
    - should be well aware of rules related to same.
    - skilled in compiling and evaluating complex data
    - ability to maintain records and prepare comprehensive.
