    Hi Parvathy,
    Most geologist positions require a master's degree; however, entry-level positions are available for graduates with a bachelor's degree. Upper-level supervisory positions, research assignments and teaching positions at a university require a doctorate degree. Geology programs include the study of mineralogy, petrology, paleontology, stratigraphy and structural geology, as well as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and engineering.     @ parvathy76033 just recall your self and think once agn before going for the courses.Environmental geologists study the physical characteristics and composition of the Earth and its natural resources. They perform field or lab work using a variety of tools and software to collect data and conduct studies. They might work for engineering firms, oil and gas companies or government agencies.
    Some geologists are required to travel to collect data, and their work can be physically demanding. They might work long hours while in the field. However, these professionals tend to make a much higher-than-average yearly salary.
