An income tax officer is someone who deals with income tax matters concerning the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). The CBDT is a department of the Central Government of India. Class I officers of CBDT comes from Indian Revenue Service (IRS). IRS is the administrative revenue service of the Central Civil Services of the Government of India. It is the largest Group A Central Service amongst the organised civil services in the Government of India. Hi,
To be eligible to become an income tax officer, you should follow the below mentioned steps:
1. You must have a Bachelor's degree from any stream. (Recognized university).
2. You need to submit the form under SSC and clear the test (Pre and Main examination) and interview process for the selection.
3. The minimum age to apply is 18 and maximum is 27 on 1st July of particular year in which you going to apply.
